The centre houses information on a variety of socio-economic enhancement needs, which is made available to rural and urban poor populations on request

How the Center Operates

• The centre stocks development oriented material obtained from a variety of social development agencies.
• The focus of material stocked is informed by outcome of situational analysis including development related communication needs assessment among relevant communities .
• The centre employs a demand driven approach generated through various outreach mechanisms.
• Trained community volunteers manage the Centre and provide regular feedback.

• Promotion of functional literacy material.
• A social development promotion hub
• A hub for facilitating synergies among development agencies such as NGOs and CBOs as well as public and private sector organisations with development oriented programs.
• A development oriented data source
• A referral centre for development and poverty reduction and livelihood improvement purposes.
